Introduction

Hello there!

I finally decided to try this site out. Most of my Internet experience has been as a lurker, mainly on Tumblr, but I want to branch out and become an active participant. I’ve never used anything like Dreamwidth before (young adult), so things might be janky and my etiquette may be off (and in that case, please let me know).

I am not sure what I’ll do here yet, but my fandom interests are mainly animanga and animanga adjacent media. For now, I think my goal is to have this serve as a fandom diary to look back on and to encourage me to write meta.

Also, as a warning, there may be uncomfortable themes on this blog. My attitude is to ship and let ship and YKINMKATO, so please keep that in mind.

newcomers has lots of resources about how to use Dreamwidth and where to find things you'll enjoy here. If you're coming from Tumblr, soc_puppet is posting tutorials for that angle. Find your Tumblr friends here.

Right now is Three Weeks for Dreamwidth (April 25-May 15), with lots of extra activity and fun things to do. The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.

DW is a very flexible platform, so you can post about pretty much any topic in a variety of formats. There are some image-oriented communities if you liked the image ones on Tumblr. Most people are laid back, but if you run into assholes, just back away and look for better people.
