Bandori: In 2026?

gildedstageI feel like I’ve returned back to 2019-2020 now that Love Live, Bandori, and Precure are my main interests again. Especially with this morning’s announcement of a new game.
I managed to catch the speculation about there potentially being a new project involving AveMyGO the night before this conference so it didn’t completely catch me off guard. I was hoping there wouldn’t be any new groups (maybe hypocritcal of me since despite being a fan since og5, I’m a Morfonica and Ave Mujica fan), but I guess it won’t be as bad if they’re split into two different games. I’ve seen doomposting in four languages so far, but I’m looking forward to it, probably because I haven’t been a Garupa fan in a while.
Seeing new girls in the Bandori art style always looks strange at first, but after that wore off, I think all the millsage designs are beautiful. The duller hair colors and pastel eyes go well together. I was only intending on following AveMyGO at first, but millsage seems like a band I’ll like in style and genre. Even more so if they’ll have a heavier tone like AveMyGO.
Ikka Dumb Rock doesn’t really appeal to me, but I’m intrigued by their theme of becoming family. It seems like there might be a girl as young as middle school in this one, so I wonder if it’s too much to ask for at least one college aged girl in millsage. I really think the millsage designs would become 100x better if they aren’t more high schoolers. Also, since Ikka Dumb Rock isn’t really my thing, I feel reasonably confident in picking the Izumi Katsuragi looking bassist as a candidate for my favorite.
I wonder how they’ll connect to the other bands. I saw someone theorize that millsage would be Ave Mujica’s rival, so I could see Ikka Dumb Rock being MyGO’s.
With Ave Mujica’s game implementation and the movie coming out in the fall, 2026 doesn’t feel as horrible.
